DENVER, CO., SEPTEMBER 24, 2008 – The Rocky Mountain Chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) announced today that its October meeting will feature Jeff Morgan, President and Chief Executive Officer of NIRI, who will discuss the current market trends and their impact on the duties and responsibilities of the Investor Relations Officer.
Who: Jeff Morgan became NIRI's CEO in January 2008 after 18 years of professional association management including executive level positions with the Futures Industry Association, the Institute for Financial Markets and the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents. He holds an MBA from Eastern University.
What: Mr. Morgan will focus his presentation on key issues facing today's Investor Relations Officers: expanding regulatory requirements, evolving capital market structure, demanding shareholders, and generally challenging markets for many industries. In addition, he will talk about NIRI's expanding role as the advocate for and the voice of the investor relations profession. Mr. Morgan will explain how NIRI can serve IROs through educational offerings and peer networking
