NIRI CEO Discusses Pressing Issues for Today's IR Practitioners
Oct 7, 2008 11:30 AM MTIROs face an unprecedented pace of changes from expanding regulatory requirements, capital market structure evolution, demanding shareholders and generally challenging markets. As president and CEO of NIRI, Jeffrey Morgan is positioned to provide a macro-level perspective on the most pressing issues faced by today's IR practitioners.
Join us as Jeff Morgan addresses the NIRI Rocky Mountain Chapter to discuss:
- changing financial markets;
- the economy;
- globalization;
- the migration of static information to usable data; and
- regulators, regulations and regulatory evolution
In addition, Jeff will talk about NIRI's expanding role as the advocate for and voice of the investor relations profession and will explain how NIRI can serve IROs through educational offerings and peer networking.
Beyond Jeff's current role and high-level organizational contacts within the financial services and futures industries, his prior experience also provides a broad perspective on our evolving financial systems. Prior to coming to NIRI, he served as executive vice president for the Futures Industry Association (FIA), a trade association based in Washington, D.C., and chief staff executive of the Institute for Financial Markets (IFM). He has more than 18 years of experience with trade associations, including a solid financial background and regulatory experience.
